These Bid Documents describe the requirements to furnish and deliver, as needed, Manhole Heads, Covers, Grates, Frames, for the City of Yonkers. Bidder shall submit, with their bid, proof that their castings conform to these standards. Dimensions given in the specification sketches shall hold true as far as is compatible with the best and accepted foundry practices. All castings shall be made of clean, tough, gray cast iron, free from cracks, blowholes or any defects, which will impair the casting. Castings shall not be repaired, welded or plugged
