Water Filtration Plant Chemicals

The City of Cohoes, New York Central Purchasing Department is requesting sealed bids for the Office of Central Purchasing for:  A one (1) yearlong contract (with the option to renew for two (2) years) to purchase numerous chemicals at unit cost for the City of Cohoes Water Filtration Plant.

Poly Aluminum Chloride

DETAILED SPECIFICATIONS

PRODUCT:
PC-H180 Polyaluminum Chloride as manufactured by Holland Company. If a supplier wishes to furnish a substitute item of material, supplier shall first make a written application to the city for acceptance there-of certifying that the proposed substitute will perform adequately and achieve the results called for by plant operations. The application will state whether the acceptance of the substitute material for use will require any change in the existing plant facilities and process. See additional Pre bid-qualification requirements identified below.

COMPLIANCE:
Product must meet or exceed the current American Water Works standard for Polyaluminum Chloride. Product must also be certified by NSF as meeting NSF / ANSI / CAN / standard 60 for Drinking Water Treatment Chemicals.  Without proof of such current certification accompanying the bid proposal the proposal shall be disqualified.
