By these specifications, 24-SDABCB-1 it is the intent of Saratoga County, through its Purchasing Department, to secure a bid for an Aluminum Based Coagulant Blend. Sealed bids will be received until 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at which time bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.
The contract is from June 1, 2024 through May 31, 2025 with the option of a one (1) extension
upon written agreement of both parties.
Any vendor wishing to submit a bid MUST have the chemical pre-approved by SCSD by performing a settling test on actual SCSD secondary clarifier MLSS feed. This test can be performed on site at the WWTP, at the address noted above. The performance specification parameters utilized for review of the chemical will be the following:
•pH (more neutral pH options are favorable)
•Removal of at least half of the suspended solids when an onsite test is performed. Canbe quantified utilizing nephelometric turbidity units (NTU’s)
•Quantity utilized and handling required for proper dose. Actual dosage per milliongallons will need to be reported. This dose number will be utilized in determining lowbid.
If all of the above parameters are met to SCSD’s satisfaction, the vendor will be approved to submit a bid.
Statewide
