• Timely correction of all notices of defect brought to the attention of the Village Board of Trustees pursuant to section 6-628 of The Village Law. • All open drainage systems now or in the future being under control of the Village shall be kept free of debris or other matter which by its presence would disallow for the proper functioning and affect design and operation thereof. • Debris or refuse as found on the Village road system will be removed promptly. • Road signs and channelization as set forth under the Federal Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices and the N.Y.S. Supplement to the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices will be adhered to. • Grass, weed and vegetation growth will be controlled by means of mowing and trimming at a minimum of two (2) times per growing season in June and August and additionally as vegetation growth dictates. Additionally, all areas where aesthetics, site or clear distance are or will be an issue of concern will be serviced. Herbicides or other chemicals which might be used shall be approved by the Village prior to their use. • Perform approved capital construction projects and improvement projects for all paved and unpaved Village roads. The scope and cost of these type of projects are typically prepared by the contractor in consultation with the Village Superintendent of Public Works and once prepared are presented to the Village Board for approval prior to commencement of work. • Unpaved roadways shall receive the necessary grading and addition of necessary material to insure wet weather stabilization. In dry periods, a dust control method shall be used in timely applications. • Village roadways will receive all necessary pothole patches and correction of any heaving or sinking conditions using industry standard material of similar composition to the existing roadway. • Grading of all Village roads and clearing/reestablishing ditches and culverts along their entire length shall be required at least once and possibly twice a year. • Occasional tree or branch cutting and clearing along Village roads. • A high level of cooperation must be maintained between the holder of the contract and the Village Superintendent of Public Works and/or other Village officials as designated by the Board of Trustees.
