Specifications include, but are not limited to: MOLDBOARDThe moldboard shall be 10’ long overhaul and not less than 42” high at inside of top radiuswith (3) independent tripping edge sections. The moldboard shall have an integral snow deflector that extends a minimum of 12” fore of the cutting edge. The moldboard shall be brake formed (not rolled) from not less than 8 gauge H.R.M.S sheet. It shall include an integral formed channel at the leading top edge of the snow deflector, so to provide rigidity. Leading top edge shall have coped corners of approximately16” on both ends. The moldboard shall be supported by not less than (8) 1/2” thick vertical ribs, (6) of which serve as pushframe connection points. Holes for pin connections shall bereinforced with not less than 1/2” thick bosses.Additional moldboard support shall be provided by a lower horizontal memberfrom, not less than 5” x 5” x 3/4"structural angle. This angle shall also have hinge lugs welded to it and serveas the trip edge attachment member.A minimum of (4) support bars of not less than ½” x 2 ½” shall be welded between ribs along the back edge of the trip edge angle to provide additional rigidity. These support bars shall have integral drain holes to prevent water build-up.The trip edge shall be fabricated from not less than 4” x 4” x ¾” structural angle and shall be punched with 11/16” diameter holes to AASHTO standards, to accommodate either single or multiple cutting edges. The trip edge anglesshall be reinforced with a minimum of (7) 1/2”triangular gussets overall and have hinge lugs welded to the top sides. The trip edge shall attach to the moldboard with not less than 1-1/2” diameter structural tubing with minimum1/4" wall thickness. The structural tubing shall slide through the hinge lugs and through (6) 7/8” diameter wire x 3-3/4” x 17-3/8” torsion springs. Each torsion spring shall be capable of preload adjustment.AR CUTTING EDGE (12” PUNCHED)The cutting edge shall match trip sections, 3/4” x 6”SAE/AISI C1085 steel, and be centerand toppunched with 11/16” square holes AASHTO standards. It shall attach to the moldboard with not less than 5/8” grade 8fasteners.TWIN CYLINDER CUSHION VALVE POWER REVERSE PUSHFRAMEThe reversing pushframe shall be fabricated from 4” x 4” x 3/8” square tubing and 4” x 3” x ¼” rectangular structural tubing gusseted at key stress points. Two (2) 1-1/4” and two (2) ¾” thick connecting lugs, spanning 88”, shall be welded to the 4” x 4” x 3/8” member of the reversing circle. These lugs will serve as connection points to the moldboard. Three (3) 1-1/4” grade 5 bolts shall connect the moldboard to the pushframe. The pivot frame shall be constructed from3/8” formed plates and 3/8” x 1-1/2” bar stock gussetedat key stress points. Its swivel support plate shall be made from 1” steel plate. The pivot frame shall connectto the reversing frame with a 1-15/16” diameter cold rolled steel through a 3” O.D. x ½” wall tube. Provision shall be made for plow oscillation so to allow the plow to follow the road contour.
