HFA is seeking proposals from qualified non-profit organizations and/or private firms (“Proposers” or “Firms”) for the provision of training and technical assistance services (“TT&A Services”) to the boards of state-supervised Mitchell-Lama cooperatives as well as owners of Mitchell-Lama rental properties across New York State (the “Project”). The successful Proposer(s) will provide trainings to cooperative boards and owners on topics including, but not limited to, (i) compliance with Mitchell-Lama program rules, (ii) overall financial management best practices, (iii) best practices in board governance, (iv) board member fiduciary responsibilities, (v) selecting housing company counsel and property managers, (vi) the distinction between roles of the board, its counsel, professionals retained by the housing company, and the property manager; and (vii) conducting annual elections for cooperative board members. The successful Proposer(s) will also provide on-demand technical assistance sessions to individual housing companies on issues specific to their property
