This agreement provides for the designated consultant to perform services related to traffic signals, lighting and intelligent transportation systems (ITS). The consultant may be expected to prepare plans, specifications and estimates for any of these elements. It is anticipated that the work completed by the consultant will be part of NYSDOT Capital Projects designed by NYSDOT Staff. The work designed by the consultant is expected to be part NYSDOT Capital Projects that include construction of other elements or features. There may be cases, however, where the work done by the consultant will be in a standalone project. This agreement will be utilized when Department resources are not available. Signal Design; The anticipated services include signal replacements, signal modifications, signal upgrades and signals at new locations. Lighting Design; The anticipated services include replacement to existing lighting, or new lighting for highways, parking lots, or lighting for other facilities. ITS Design; The anticipated services include the design of new ITS elements, services, systems and all related integration work necessary to protect and maintain continuous operation of the existing systems
