Specifications include, but are not limited to: Chassis: 3.1 Frame: Heavy Duty, as required by the application. Provide the shortest turning radius available, Conventional Cab design. 3.2 Minimum Chassis Requirements 3.3 Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVW) 35,000 lbs. (minimum) 3.4 Maximum length of the vehicle – Twenty-Seven (27) feet 3.5 Maximum Height of the vehicle – Fifteen (15) feet (Chassis frame height not to exceed 46” above the ground. 3.6 Front Axle –14,500 lbs. (minimum) I-beam, Power Steering 3.7 Rear Axle – 22,000 lbs. (minimum) dual rear wheels single axle with traction control with lock up. 3.8 Suspension – Accommodate axle specified in section 3.6, Rear Air Ride to accommodate axle specified in section 3.7 with dump valves and automatic air up when put in gear. 3.9 Wheels and Tires – Steel Belted Radials, all season tread. Tires/wheels shall be rated for GVW. Wheels shall be steel disc type. All tires shall be same size, type and load range. Provide one mounted spare tire tire/wheel per vehicle. Provide a crossfire duel rear wheel tire pressure equalization system and lug nut torque indicators. Provide one set of snow chains per vehicle. 3.10 Side Guards: Refer to the Attached Side Guard Standard for Acquisition contracts pages and Section 6-141 of the Administrative Code of the City of New York. 3.11 Shock Absorbers – Front and Rear, Heavy Duty if available. 3.12 Front Bumper – Manufacture’s Heavy Duty on 6” extended frame ¼” inch thick steel contoured bumper with flexible rod indicators installed on bumper ends. 3.13 Rear Bumper – Rear Bumper shall be a custom steel bar on two swiveling joints to be moved for the rear shroud downward facing side. Must have a mechanism to return the bumper to out right when vehicle is in drive or reverse.
