The New York City Department of Sanitation seeks the services of a qualified vendor to provide towing and transportation of DSNY Heavy-Duty Vehicles and Equipment. DSNY utilizes a variety of Heavy-Duty Vehicles and Equipment, which can become disabled and/or need to be moved from one location to another in the course of DSNY operations. In such cases, DSNY requires towing and transportation service to be provided. DSNY currently has approximately 4,659 Heavy-Duty Vehicles. The Contractor shall have a sufficient number of vehicle dispatch personnel, tow truck operators, and other vehicle operators to meet the DSNY requirements; The Contractor shall tow DSNY Heavy-Duty Vehicles and Equipment from any location within the five boroughs of New York City to a DSNY Facility or other location within New York City designated by DSNY.
