The New York State Office of Addiction Services and Supports (NYS OASAS) is seeking qualified not-for-profit organizations to provide regional vocational rehabilitation services across the state. Specifically, NYS OASAS intends to contract with two providers for each of the ten New York State economic development regions, excluding New York City. For New York City, NYS OASAS will select two providers for each of the five boroughs. This initiative aims to improve employment outcomes for individuals in active treatment and recovery from substance use disorder (SUD), a population that often faces significant stigma and systemic barriers to employment. Selected providers will support NYS OASAS’ mission to promote long-term recovery and self-sufficiency through community-based job placement assistance. Each organization will be responsible for hiring or retaining two vocational rehabilitation counselors who will serve as dedicated vocational specialists working in coordination with regional SUD treatment and recovery programs
