Specifications include, but are not limited to: The work of this project extends through the ten (10) story Perry Hall residence tower building. First floor public space lobby floor with nine (9) stories of residences where each floor has four (4) apartment units, each with three (3) bedrooms, one (1) bathroom and a living space at each, on upper floors. Work includes the removal of existing doors, some frames, all hardware, and related finish repairs. In replacing doors into utility, laundry and/or mechanical rooms, the introduction of ventilation through mechanical louvers into these spaces became required. The identification of rated walls to maintain proper ratings is important for specifying correct hardware and doors. The consideration for two (2) future ADA compliant suites required for new door and frames to be enlarged from typical 30” wide openings to 36”. The opening enlargement required relocation of existing light switch, and more extensive repair work at these openings. There are two (2) existing stairway doors per floor which are to receive new door hardware and be adjusted as necessary for proper operation.
