Specifications include, but are not limited to:The Contractor shall provide all necessary labor, equipment, and insurance needed to effect the snow removal service specified herein. The Contractor shall comply with all applicable codes, laws, and regulations of municipal, state, and federal governments that shall be required for the execution and completion of work involved. The area designated for snow removal shall include all the macadam surfaced parking areas, exits, entrances, and drop-off zones, and roadway around the building. Ramps, steps, and sidewalk areas will be the responsibility of the Owner. Snow shall not be pushed onto ramps, steps, and sidewalk areas. Slush and ice shall by this specification be classified as snow. Sanding will be required immediately following each plowing and when requested by the Owner. Product used in the sanding process must be a minimum mixture of one (1) part sand and one (1) part rock salt. AN ALL-SAND PRODUCT IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. SAND SPREADING WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. The snow removal shall be a continuous service between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., no more than six (6) inches of snow shall be permitted to accumulate. All snow, however, must be completely removed from all macadamized areas by 7:00 a.m. Monday through Friday and by 8:00 a.m. Saturday. Snow shall be stockpiled around the perimeter of the parking area where large open areas have been provided. Snow must not be pushed, piled or dumped upon walkways or against exiting fences and/or trees. If stockpiled snow reaches a height where it becomes infeasible to pile more snow in the area, or in the opinion of the Owner, the stockpile snow becomes a hazard, a nuisance, or an eyesore, then the Contractor shall be responsible for removing, hauling, and cleaning up the snow. The area shall be cleaned to the satisfaction of the Owner
