Specifications include, but are not limited to:It is the intent of following bid to provide Athletic/University Event Security and Crowd Management Services for Athletic and Special Events at Stony Brook University. The contractor will be provided security services in all Stony Brook Athletic venues, but its focus will be events held in Kenneth P. LaValle Stadium (10,000 capacity), Island Federal Credit Union Arena (4,000 capacity), and Pritchard Gymnasium (1,200 capacity). The contractor will be expected to have expert knowledge of all facilities. The contractor will provide all equipment and qualified personal to provide a safe environment for the events. All work performed must be in accordance will all State, County regulations and must meet the high standards of Stony Brook University. It is imperative that the contractor have a staff available during normal business hours so that Stony Brook University can get in touch with the Contractor. An answering machine in the office is not acceptable. If the contractor does not have an adequate staff, as specified under the “Bidder Qualifications” section below, they will be considered non-qualified. The clauses contained in these bids forms set forth the wishes of Stony Brook University in regard to the services required. However, Stony Brook University reserves the right to waive irregularities, omissions, or other technical defects if, in its judgment, the best interests of the University will be served accordingly. Bidders may take exception to paragraphs of this bid. Any exception must be addressed during the question period. Bidders must indicating specific bid page, paragraph, and the exception(s).
