Specifications include, but are not limited to: In order to implement the provisions of Education Law §3012-d, relating to annual professional performance reviews of classroom teachers and building principals, the New York State Education Department (NYSED) is soliciting applications for assessments that will be used as measures of student growth, either through supplemental assessments in conjunction with a growth model for use in the Optional Student Performance Subcomponent or through an assessment used with a Student Learning Objective (SLO) that will generate a growth target for one year if expected growth for use in the Required Student Performance Subcomponent and will subsequently contribute to teachers’ and principals’ annual performance appraisals. Such assessments include those previously placed on the “List of Approved Student Assessments for Use by School Districts and BOCES in Teacher and Principal Evaluations.” Assessments approved under the previous list are only eligible for use under Education Law §3012-c. Assessment providers must apply to this RFQ in order to be approved for use under Education Law §3012-d.
