1. Phase I – Pre-Design/Programming: A. Review with the Owner the scope of the project as necessary. Provide full project assessment to determine exact scope of work. B. The Consultant is to collect and review all relative existing building information provided by the Owner and field verify by inspection to confirm existing conditions. Record existing conditions as necessary to create drawings and specifications as required for the project. a. The County will provide applicable existing building documentation for the Consultant’s use. This includes original building plans specific to disciplines relevant to the scope of work. Documents consisting of construction and/or as-built drawings will be provided in various electronic formats including tiff, pdf and/ or AutoCAD format. C. Attend design kickoff and design progress meetings as necessary to discuss scope of work and progress drawings. Consultant is also expected to prepare meeting agenda and minutes for each meeting. D. Consultant is to start site investigations related to preliminary design including but not limited to; survey, subsurface investigations, environmental tasks, etc. which may be required by consultant, and any other tasks required by subconsultants. E. Deliverables: • Design Report (if applicable) • Preliminary Plans and Detail sheets • Preliminary Cost Estimate • Prepare design sketches, memoranda and graphic representations to represent design concepts to the Owner • Electronic and hard copies will be required of each of these items.
