Specifications include, but are not limited to: The selected Respondent(s) will provide professional design services for Public Safety Radio Communication Towers Structural Inspection project. The focus is structural assessments of the facilities, but knowledge of electrical and electronics engineering should be demonstrated in the proposal. Any system or component of a public safety tower site (e.g., tower, shelter, fencing, grounding systems, security systems, grading/landscaping, and standby generators) may need to be assessed and inspected. The selected Respondent(s) will require a prompt turn-around of services. Project assignments under this contract will include planning, design and/or construction phase services related to the following: Document observable deficiencies; Spot-check dimensions of the tower and structural member sizes to confirm modifications to the tower have not been made; Spot check previously documented communication equipment to confirm changes or modifications have not been made; Document, measure, and collect data on any new communication equipment on the tower; For towers previously inspected, the previous inspection report (provided to the selected Respondent) will be updated based on the findings from the proposed inspection; For towers where no previous inspection was completed a new inspection report similar in content to previous reports will be developed; structural investigation and design of improvements; security systems investigation and design of improvements; civil/site, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing system investigation, and design of improvements; design and preparation of specifications; design of improvements needed to meet requirements of the NYS Building Code, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and any Monroe County Design Standards; cost estimating of construction; and construction phase services.
