Specifications include, but are not limited to: The purpose of this RFP is to provide the Buffalo Public Schools with a District Medical Director in accordance with New York State Education Law, Article 19 and NYSED Commissioner’s Regulations section 136. Under local, state, and federal law, the Buffalo Board of Education is responsible for seeking proposals for the students in public and non-public schools in the City of Buffalo, NY. The District is seeking the expertise of a Medical Director to serve as a consultant for health related services to ensure high quality health services to students and families which will: • Focus on effective prevention and early intervention. • Utilizes evidence-based models that are effective in meeting student needs. • Provide medical advisement and services that are outcome driven and connected to student success. • Be based on a collaborative model that emphasizes a coordinated approach to the delivery of services to address the needs of the whole child.
