Specifications include, but are not limited to: Contractor shall supply equipment and operators to remove snow and ice from roadways, parking lots, and other locations as needed and as directed by a designated College representative. The types and quantities of each kind of equipment that the Contractor shall have available to the College are identified in Section III – Bid Prices. College reserves the right to deploy one or more units during each snow event, as deemed necessary by the College. Contractor shall provide adequate supervision and shall have a foreman who can communicate in English and will be responsible for directing the Contractor’s machinery and operators according to College directives. College will require services during snow storms. Service requirements will be defined at the time of engagement based on the weather forecast. College will evaluate its internal resources, weather forecast and current conditions to determine the service needs. Therefore, the College has not identified a specific measure of snowfall at which the Contractor will be required to be on site. Services may also be required after a snow event to perform additional snow removal or clean-up in an effort to return the campus to normal operating conditions.
