Specifications include, but are not limited to: This project is for the rehabilitation of the I-90, Eastbound (EB) and Westbound (WB) Bridges over Sterling Creek. The following work is planned under this project: 1. Provide sediment and erosion control as per plans. 2. Set up work zone traffic control as per plans. 3. Construct full depth asphalt pavement crossover and provide crossover striping. 4. Shift EB traffic to WB to allow construction on the EB structure. 5. Install temporary water diversion structures at both abutments. 6. Remove existing approach pavement, bridge railing and concrete deck to limits indicated in the plans. 7. Install temporary supports, as necessary. 8. Modify abutment backwalls. 9. Perform partial depth concrete substructure repairs and substructure crack injections. 10. Install new bearings. 11. Install new shear studs on each girder. 12. Construct new concrete deck, approach slabs, sleeper slab and bridge barrier. 13. Mill and fill roadway and provide striping as shown in the plans. 14. Open road to new configuration prior to Winter Shutdown. 15. Shift WB traffic to EB to allow construction of the WB structure. 16. Repeat steps 6 – 13. 17. Open road to final configuration.
