Specifications include, but are not limited to: Highway: • Provide sediment and erosion control. • Set up work zone traffic control as detailed in the plans. • Rehabilitate median drainage structures. • Pave full depth shoulders and median on Interstate 87/287. • Reset existing guide rail as detailed in the plans. • Mill and pave roadway surface course within the limits of work. • Install signing and pavement markings as detailed in the plans. Bridge Elements: • Repair/rehabilitate deteriorated structural concrete substructure elements including abutments and piers. • Remove existing bridge superstructure deck, portions of approach slabs, and joints to the removal limits as shown in the plans. • Repair/rehabilitate deteriorated structural steel elements including girders and floor beams. This will also include localized repainting of steel members. • Clean/lubricate bridge bearings. • Construct a precast concrete deck with integral wearing surface and galvanized steel reinforcement placed with the use of Ultra High-Performance Concrete (UHPC) closure pours. Final deck thickness will be 9.5” after diamond grinding. • Install new joints and reconstruct portions of approach slabs. • Construct concrete fascia/median barriers with snow fencing. Restoration: • Remove all Contractor equipment and clean-up site.
