Specifications include, but are not limited to: The New York State Education Department (NYSED) is seeking proposals to establish10 Regional Special Education Technical Assistance Support Centers (RSE-TASC) to act as Special Education Technical Assistance Centers (TAC). Each RSE-TASC will include one contract for a RSE-TASC Coordinator and regional technicalassistance specialists (Part I) and additional contracts for special education schoolimprovement specialists located throughout the RSE-TASC region (Part II). As anetwork, all RSE-TASCs will work in partnership with NYSED and other NYSEDsupported technical assistance centers to provide technical assistance and professionaldevelopment to improve instructional practices for and outcomes of students withdisabilities, including post school employment outcomes.Adult Career and Continuing Education Services-Vocational Rehabilitation (ACCES-VR)of NYSED is seeking proposals for Regional Vocational Rehabilitation - CommunityEmployment Specialists (RVR-CES) to provide consultative and technical assistanceservices to school districts and local educational agencies who work with transition ageyouth. For ACCESVR, transition age youth are considered to be individuals who areunder the age of 25 that have a disability as defined by Individuals with DisabilitiesEducation Act (IDEA), or Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 or the Americanswith Disability Act of 1990 (ADA) these youth may or may not be currently enrolled in asecondary school program.
