Specifications include, but are not limited to: three (3) separate sites; Three new buildings and a replacement of façade, roof, doors and windows on an existing building site; General Construction and site consist of a single story PEMB building (approximately 10,170 s.f.) to provide a replacement of the existing building to be demolished under a separate contract. The building includes 5 truck bays and two drive through truck bays and office break areas. Windows will be limited to the office area and the overhead doors shall be 16’ wide and 14’ high with integral windows.; The structure of this building will be a pre-engineered metal building. The building frame and envelope will be designed and detailed by the subcontractor hired by the contractor. The preengineered building manufacturer will design the building structure for both gravity loading (dead and live/snow) and lateral loading (wind and seismic). Bid documents show the foundation design system based on preliminary frame reactions and will confirm the design based on the manufacturer’s frame reactions to be provided during construction. The foundation will consist of reinforced concrete piers supported by rectangular spread footings at each building frame column. Foundation frost walls shall consist of reinforced concrete and concrete strip footings. All footings shall bear 4-feet below exterior grade for frost protection. All areas will have rebar-reinforced concrete slab on grade with a vapor barrier.; The exterior and site improvements include added pavement construction, minor regrading, sidewalks, bollards, exterior lighting, utilities, and 10’ concrete aprons. The new building will be shifted south of the original footprint. The property has utilities: water, sanitary sewer, natural gas (BEGWS); electric lines (NYSEG); and an existing oil water separator. Connections to services will be required for the proposed building. A new oil water separator will be installed in the front (east) of the building, with a separate line installed for connection to the sanitary sewer. ; The site will have to be regraded due to the larger building pad and to provide drive-through access for the two (2) southern bays. All stormwater will be conveyed to open channel swales that run along County Route 113. The proposed site work will disturb approximately 0.95 acres, therefore a SPDES permit for stormwater discharges will not be required.; Mechanical/Plumbing The vehicle bays will be heated by gas-fired unit heaters hung from structure with stand-alone wall-mounted control. The flue venting shall discharge out the rear wall.
