Conceptual streetscape plans will be developed by the consultant for waterfront streets (South Water Street, Railroad Avenue, the portion of Requa Street from South Street to Railroad Avenue, the portion of Hudson Avenue from South Street to the Metro-North Railroad, the portion of Central Avenue from South Water Street to just east of the Route 9 overpass, and the portion of North Water Street from Central Avenue to Main Street). See Exhibit A for map showing scoped areas. Up to one (1) alternative design may be requested so as to explore options. As part of the Downtown Revitilization Initiative (DRI), the city has developed a pedestrian and cyclist infrastructure improvements plan extending from the train station, through the waterfront and connecting up to the Downtown. This plan should be evaluated and incorporated into the conceptual streetscape plans.
