Deduct $ /cy. Material Requirement and Test: The contractor shall put up stockpiles of concrete sand and Type CA1 or CA2 coarse aggregate. Said materials shall comply with gradation requirements of NYSDOT Standard Specifications Section 501. Steuben County reserves, as its right, the right to take and test samples from these stockpiles for compliance with the gradation requirements. Concrete Requirement and Test: Portland Cement Concrete for Precast Box Culverts shall meet the material requirements of Section 706- 17 and 704-03 of the New York State Department of Transportation Standard Specifications, Construction and Materials (current edition). Two (2): “28-day concrete cylinder breaks,” performed by Steuben County, shall be the basis for acceptance or rejection of each of the box culvert sections. The two (2) “cylinder breaks” shall average a minimum of 5000 psi, but neither shall be less than 4750 psi.
