The Saratoga Springs Police Department is seeking cost proposals for the supply and installation of ballistic window protection barriers to the exterior windows and doors of the Police Department operations spaces. Those areas include: Dispatch/Desk Sergeant areas (~86-1/2”x83-1/2” windows [qty 2]); Training Room area (~33”x77” windows [qty 4]); Men’s Locker Room area (~33”x77” windows [qty 1]); Interview Room and Administrative Services Division areas (~34-1/2”x65” windows [qty 7]) Back Hallway Exterior Door to Lake Ave (~55”x86” Commercial Doorway [qty 1]) Investigations Division areas (~40-1/2”x46-1/2” windows [qty 3] and ~46-1/2”x46-1/2” window [qty 1]) Ballistic glass or other barrier protection must be rifle-rated against modern calibers and common threats (5.56x45mm, 7.62x39mm, 7.62x51mm, etc.). Preference may be given to vendors that have experience in designing police department and/or public safety facilities. It is anticipated that prospective vendors will need to make visits to the Saratoga Springs Police Department, 5 Lake Ave, in order to better understand the needs of the Police Department as well as assess the work sites.
