Monroe County is seeking an individual or entity to complete physical examinations for children suspected to be abused or maltreated at the request of Monroe County Child Protective Services or Starlight Pediatrics on behalf of Monroe County. Specific responsibilities are asfollows: A. To assist in the investigation and management of child abuse/maltreatment cases, the respondent shall, upon referral from the Monroe County, Child Protective Services (CPS) or Starlight Pediatrics, provide physical examinations for children who are suspected of suffering from abuse or maltreatment. The physical examinations should be conducted by medical professionals with demonstrated expertise in the medical diagnosis and treatment of child abuse/maltreatment. 1. The respondent shall, with respect to reporting the number of exams performed, submit a claim voucher listing each Division-referred patient, including the patient’s full name, date of birth, the date service was rendered, and the name of the Monroe County Department of Human Services (MCDHS) CPS worker or Starlight Pediatrics staff member that referred the client for services. This report must be emailed to the Monroe County CPS Administrator, by the 15th day of the calendar month following the physical examination. 2. The respondent shall, in a timely manner, provide Monroe County Child Protective Services or Starlight Pediatrics with a comprehensive written report of each physical examination. Thisreport must be emailed to the referring MCDHS CPS or Starlight Pediatrics staff member within 14 days of each physical examination. 3. Any photographic imagestaken by the respondent of children suspected of being abused or maltreated shall be provided to the Monroe County Child Protective Services as required by Section 416 of the Social Services Law of New York State.
