The Contractor agrees to furnish transportation services, in compliance with and as required by the New York Education Law and the regulations adopted there under, for the following route to those preschool handicapped children designated by the County: ________________ to/from _______________. In addition to providing transportation service to preschool handicapped children identified by the County as requiring such service, the Contractor agrees to provide transportation services to other youngsters identified by the County as requiring transportation to the same sites of service of preschool handicapped children, at no additional cost to the County. The Contractor warrants, represents and agrees that no changes shall be made in the route, in the type of vehicle, or in the number of personnel furnished by the Contractor for said route, without the written consent of the County. The Contractor agrees to furnish a vehicle and car seat (if required) approved by the New York State Department of Transportation and which complies with all federal and state laws and regulations for use in transporting such students, as well as an appropriately licensed driver and at least one aide, unless otherwise specified by the County, to assist improperly loading, unloading or supervising students being transported. The Contractor agrees to be solely responsible for the safety and welfare of each child being transported.
