The project consists of the removal of the existing failed leaching system (and the installation of a new H-20 rated pressure-dosed absorption bed with associated components, including: Replacement (as necessary) of the existing 1,000-gallon septic tank (with installation of a Zabel A-1801 effluent filter); Installation of a 4-ft diameter, 750-gallon pump chamber with duplex effluent pumps (Goulds WE Series) and NEMA 4X control/alarm panel; Removal and disposal of unsuitable existing soils and effluent-saturated materials (approximately 4–6 ft below grade); Construction of a 13’ x 21’ infiltrator H-20 rated leaching bed, with associated stone bedding, geotextile and geogrid reinforcement, and protective backfill per approved plans and manufacturer’s specifications; Installation of new 2-inch Schedule 40 PVC force main, pressure dosing laterals (1.5” sched 40) and associated H20 Leaching Chambers (by Infiltrator); Site restoration including loaming, seeding, and stabilization per NYSDEC Erosion and Sediment Control Standards (2016). Future connection to the municipal sewer system is anticipated. The pump chamber shall be configured to allow re-direction of effluent to the municipal manhole at a later date.
