Specifications include, but are not limited to: Seeking a consultant or consultant team to provide urban design and planning services in connection with various City sponsored projects to be specified by the Corporation and located in all five boroughs of the City on an on call, as needed basis. As part of the Services the Consultant shall perform urban planning and design assignments (collectively, the “Assignments”) on an on call, as needed basis, which Assignments may include any or some of the following: (1) urban design, including existing conditions analysis, neighborhood character analysis, creation of base maps, and zoning analysis; (2) site planning, including site configurations and specifications of land uses and program, massing/bulk analysis, public realm strategy, architectural test fits, and design guideline development; (3) planning graphics, including graphic design, layout and printing services, as well as strategy and branding on a neighborhood wide scale (4) renderings and visualization, including digital images, watercolor, pencil sketching, and physical models; (5) sustainable design and resiliency (6) infrastructure analysis; (7) market and financial feasibility analysis; (8) public facilitation and engagement; (9) general urban planning services, including but not limited to gathering data, and the synthesis of materials into end product comprehensive planning studies; and (10) cost estimating. Respondents need not specialize in all the above categories to respond and should note the areas of their expertise in their proposal, as well as their general approach to providing those services. A diversity of skill sets, technical expertise, experience, and firm size is desired.
