The Syracuse Police Department is seeking proposals from qualified mental health clinician(s) or practices to provide expert guidance and support to department commanders and the Peer Support Team when responding to officers in crisis. The selected clinician(s) or practice will be responsible for conducting professional assessments of an officer's mental health status and offering informed recommendations to assist in crisis intervention and follow-up care. This service is intended to enhance the department's ability to respond effectively, compassionately, and appropriately to the mental health needs of its personnel. The clinician(s) or practice must be available to provide consultation and support on a 24/7 basis; however, the total number of response hours required will not exceed 175 hours annually.
