Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. The contractor shall provide labor, materials, equipment, and appliances necessary or required to perform and complete all work including, but not limited to the following: a. Maintenance, repair, servicing, and new installation of parts for the Town’s Marine Equipment. b. Removal and disposal of materials associated with work being completed. c. The contractor’s service person(s) shall have tools and equipment common to the trade that may be necessary to perform required work. The Town will not pay for rental or replacement of any of these common tools and consumables associated with the type of work outlined in this contract. The Town shall be the sole judge of what tools, equipment and materials are considered to be incidental. d. Any work to be subcontracted must receive prior approval of the Town. e. Must have mobile response capability to respond to areas of Manhasset Bay and Hempstead Bay/Harbor as needed. Must have ability to provide dock side diagnostic service at Town Dock upon request located at 347 Main St, Port Washington, NY 11050. 2. Specifications i. Routine maintenance (items 1 and 2 below) shall include 100hr/300hr service Oil and Filter changes, fuel filter changes, thermostat changes, alternator belt replacement, lower unit gear lube, impeller gasket replacement, spark plugs and zinc anodes. Work must be completed within 48 hours. ii. Hourly Rates for repairs and servicing shall include any and all repair, servicing or other work needed on the boar that is not otherwise covered by the routine maintenance visit. This may include repairs, installations, winterizing or other services needed from time to time. The Town shall pay the hourly rates for the work actually completed and cost plus the 15% mark up for parts and equipment. Vendor will be required to provide receipts. 3. Vendor must be authorized to conduct business in the state of New York and must hold any licenses required by the state or local government. 4. When repairing or replacing any components/equipment, the contractor shall use the most up to date materials being manufactured. No obsolete materials shall be allowed without Town approval. Parts and materials shall be new and must be of the same manufacturer or a certified equivalent as the original equipment, where applicable. The Town reserves the right to furnish parts and materials if they deem it to be in their best interest.
