All correspondence must be made through the Vendor Portal. Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Work under this Contract is to provide all necessary labor, parts, materials and equipment for maintenance and repair of protective relays and meters and associated switchgear of various types and models. If necessary, the Contractor’s materials, tools and equipment may be stored at the Site only as directed by the DEP Project Manager. The Contractor shall keep this storage space clean and accessible to the DEP Project Manager and responsible DEP personnel at all times. The Contractor shall take every precaution to avoid damage by fire, water, etc. DEP will not be responsible for the security of these materials. All mechanical and electrical equipment supplied under this Contract shall be coated, wrapped and/or otherwise protected from snow, rain, drippings of any sort, dust, dirt, mud and condensed water vapor during shipment, storage, installation and at all other times prior to being put in service. Full details of proposed protective measures shall be submitted for approval to the DEP Project Manager prior to commencement of Work. 1. The Contractor acknowledges that certain areas, equipment, tanks and piping at the Sites contain gases that potentially are hazardous, are toxic, contain insufficient oxygen for human survival or are combustible in the presence of oxygen. 2. The Contractor shall ensure that its employees’ and its Subcontractors’ employees do not burn any objects or materials, use open flames, smoke or carry matches or lighters within hazardous areas. 3. The Contractor shall take suitable precautions to ensure safe working conditions. Before entering any hazardous areas, the Contractor shall ensure all hazardous gases have been evacuated and that a safe working atmosphere exists.
