The Scope of Work (SOW) is for the installation of generators, auto transfer switches (ATS) and all associated appurtenances to support municipal services at the following facilities in the Town of New Scotland: 1. Location #1: Highway Garage: 100kW, 120/240 volts, 1-Phase generator and a 400 Amp SER ATS, 2 Pole, Nema 1 Enclosed at 2869 New Scotland Rd, Voorheesville, NY 12186 (42.617350, -73.976281), 2. Location #2: Clarksville Booster Station: 50kW, 120/208 volts 3-Phase generator and a 225 Amp ATS, 3 Pole, Nema 3R Enclosed at 1858 Delaware Turnpike, Delmar, NY 12054 (42.574151, -73.945600), 3. Location #3: Clarksville Well Field: 40kW, 120/240 volts, 1-Phase generator, elevated galvanized steel platform and a 225 Amp ATS, 2 Pole, Nema 3R Enclosed at 49 Winnie Lane, Feura Bush, NY 12067 (42.568202, -73.916687), 4. Location #4: Feura Bush Booster Station: 60kW, 480 volts, 3-Phase generator and a 125 Amp ATS, 3 Pole, Nema 3R Enclosed at Orchard St/Western Ave., Feura Bush, NY 12067 (42.577937, -73.882419), 5. Location #5: New Salem Booster Station: 60kW, 120/208 volts 3-Phase generator and a 200 Amp SER ATS, 3 Pole, Nema 1 Enclosed at 2634 New Scotland Rd, Voorheesville, NY 12186 (42.624095, -73.962023), 6. Location #6: Community Center: New Salem Booster Station: 50kW, 120/240 volts, 1-Phase generator and a 260 Amp SER ATS, 2 Pole, Nema 3R Enclosed at 7 Old New Salem Rd, Voorheesville, NY 12186 (42.622013, -73.969588). Bidders shall be aware of the following work items that have been or will be supplied or installed under separate contract or by the Town (OWNER) forces: • Supply and delivery of the generators and ATS equipment will be by Cummins, Inc. CONTRACTOR shall coordinate with Cummins, the contracted equipment supplier, to coordinate delivery of the equipment. The estimated delivery date is currently February 3, 2026. • Concrete generator pad including conduit stub-ups, conduit runs to the building or exterior electric service from the generator pad with stub-ups at exterior face of building or exterior electric service location and site restoration. The CONTRACTOR shall install any required conduit extensions at the generators and connection points from the conduit stub-ups installed by the OWNER, including penetrations through building walls. The CONTRACTOR shall install all electric and communication wiring between the generator and connection point at all six (6) generator sites. The CONTRACTOR shall coordinate delivery of all equipment to the work sites with Cummins, Inc. representative and shall off-load and set the generators in-place. The CONTRACTOR shall install the ATS at each site and make all necessary electrical and communication connections to integrate the generator into the electric panel. The CONTRACTOR shall be responsible for coordinating with the local electrical utility company any power outage required to perform the proposed work. The CONTRACTOR shall be providing a NYS PE signed and sealed manufactured elevated generator platform design and shop drawing for town engineer approval, prior to installation at location #3. The CONTRACTOR shall provide a full tank of fuel in each generator. The CONTRACTOR shall provide a one (1) year warranty on workmanship. The CONTRACTOR shall coordinate with the Cummins, Inc. representative to provide the necessary testing/ commissioning and start-up. Whenever materials or equipment are indicated in the Contract Documents by using the name of a proprietary item or the name of a particular manufacturer, the naming of the item is intended to establish the type, function, and quality required. If the name is followed by the words "or equal" indicating that a substitution is permitted, materials or equipment of other manufacturers may be accepted if sufficient information is submitted by the CONTRACTOR to allow the ENGINEER to determine that the material or equipment proposed is equivalent or equal to that named.
