This bid document is published in order to obtain competitive prices for: Ice Control Sand. Dependent upon which item/line items it is awarded, each awardee shall be required to load County vehicles at the plant site and/or deliver product to specified site(s). NOTE: Ice Control Sand shall comply with the New York State Department of Transportation Standard Specifications, Item #33700: Abrasives – Snow and Ice Control Specifications No. 99-01, Class A. It is estimated that Steuben County will order approximately 28,000 – 33,000 tons of Ice Control Sand. Generally, in most cases, the county will obtain all their sand by FOB during the term of the bid based on the following estimated quantities: i. Bridge Shop; 2,200 Tons; ii. Curtis Shop; 3,000 Tons; iii. Cohocton Shop; 3,500 Tons; iv. Caton Shop/CCC; 3,000 Tons; v. Woodhull Shop; 3,400 Tons; vi. Mt. Washington Shop; 3,000 Tons; vii. Prattsburgh Shop; 3,000 Tons; viii. Greenwood Shop; 3,400 Tons; ix. Howard Shop; 3,000 Tons; Total = 27,500 Tons
