GENERAL OBJECTIVES AND REQUIREMENTS: The Buffalo VA Medical Center is seeking to establish a contract to obtain hotel rooms as part of the Hoptel Service offered to eligible Veterans. The Contractor shall provide rooms in a hotel with a minimum AAA diamond rating of 2 (or equivalent rating subject to Contracting Officers approval) located within 6 driving miles of the Buffalo VA Medical Center located at 3495 Bailey Avenue, Buffalo, NY 14215.
TERM OF CONTRACT: The ordering period of this contract shall be five (5) years from the effective date. The ordering period is anticipated to be between 06/01/2025 to 05/31/2030.
The Department of Veterans Affairs requires approximately 8 (eight) furnished hotel rooms each day Sunday through Thursday. Rooms may be required on Friday and Saturday’s, on an infrequent as-needed basis.
TRANSPORTATION:
- Contractor shall provide on-call shuttle transportation for the VA referred occupants from the contractor’s hotel to the VA Medical Center and from the VA Medical Center to the hotel. The contractor shall provide the on-call transportation service from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. seven days per week. Contractor shall respond within (30) minutes after being contacted by either the VA referred occupant or VA official to provide the on-call transportation service as described. **The Contractor is not required to provide Veteran occupants with more than 2 trips per day.
