It is the intent of the Nassau Health Care Corporation (NHCC), to establish a Purchase Order for Histology Printers and Service as listed below for Nassau University Medical Center. All proposals submitted shall be in accordance with (but not limited to) the following detailed specifications. 6-HOPPER THERMAL CASSETTE PRINTER AND SERVICE: o Equipment must be new, not refurbished. o Compact size for ease of movement to allow for use either on or close to the grossing station. Preference: size22X11X15 inches; Weight- no more than 25 pounds o Fully Integrated Barcode Scanner. Must have built-in scanner that allow scans from a request form or sample barcode. o Black thermal transfer ribbon that prints in at least 300 DPI, and is resistant to Alcohol, Formalin and Xylene; at least 12,000 prints o Capable of printing barcode 1D and 2D barcode with capacity of 100 characters o Easy LIS Integration and Flexible Connectivity o Print times of under 10 seconds per cassette with fully integrated labelling system. o Printer ribbons with initial purchase. o Connectivity to device via USB, ethernet and/or WiFi. o Power requirements of 240/110V power adapter 24V DC o Service: Standard 1-year plus additional 3-year extended service contract (total term: 4 years), including installation and provisions for loaner, if needed...
