● As assigned by the District’s Office for Students with Exceptionalities, conduct superintendent hearings under Section 3214 in accordance with all relevant federal and state regulations, including Part 201 of the Commissioner’s Regulations pertaining to the Discipline of Students with Disabilities ● Assure all rules of evidence and testimony are followed by participants and that students are afforded appropriate due process in all proceedings ● Conduct hearings for students with disabilities as a bifurcated process, assuring that a Manifestation Determination Review team is convened prior to a penalty phase for students who meet those criteria. ● Submit a written report of the Hearing findings and recommendations regarding disposition to the Superintendent of Schools no later than 48 hours following the hearing ● Provide feedback to District leadership of any noted concerns in the hearing process.
