Semi-annual Hazardous Tree Reports • Assessment of trees throughout all locations listed in IFB Section 2.2 Locations and to be performed by a TRAQ certified arborist. • Provide written reports by June 15 and November 15 of each contract year • Risk assessments and consultation will also be expected upon Park Managers’ request and will be performed by a TRAQ certified arborist. • On an as needed basis, the Contractor will be asked to meet with any/all of the Park Managers for advice on issues related to tree planning, care, and removal. 2.1.2 Prune, repair, and maintain existing trees • Work to be completed in conjunction with Park Managers’ requests and approval. • 2 – 4 person crew, dependent on work to be performed. • Approximately 75% of the work is trimming, 25% of the work is tree cutting/felling. • Average diameter range of tree being cut is 16” to 20”. 2.1.3 Tree Felling • In park preserves within forested areas, if a tree is 25’ or further from nearest pedestrian path, Contractor shall leave an 8-10” stump. Trees within 25’ of a pedestrian path shall leave stump flush with ground level. • In parks in urban settings and non-preserves, trees that need removal will have their stump ground 6” below grade and the resulting hole/dip shall be filled with topsoil to a rounded mound 3” above grade to account for appropriate settling. • Park Managers will direct Contractor to coordinate removal of felled trees on an individual project basis
