Monroe County is seeking a Respondent to implement a Family-Centered Services Program. The selected Respondent will serve individuals applying for or receiving or Safety Net Assistance – Maintenance of Effort (SNAMOE) and Financial Assistance (FA) or TANF 200% eligible with a strong focus on families/individuals involved with Child and Family Services. The selected Respondent will be expected to serve over 300 individuals per year with a minimum of six months engagement and up to nine months. The central objective is to assist families with applying for financial resources and navigating towards economic stability. Many families face significant challenges in navigating the complex processes involved in securing government assistance, housing assistance, medical assistance, employment assistance etc. By providing direct support, the selected Respondent will help ensure that eligible families can access the resources they need and move towards economic stability. The selected Respondent will be required to help participants with the entire Temporary Assistance process to ensure, if otherwise eligible, the case will be opened. This includes, but is not limited to, helping participants complete the Temporary Assistance application in its entirety. This involves submitting applications to the local district, helping the participant obtain the documents requested from the local district, and ensuring the participant attends the required appointments for their Temporary Assistance case to be opened. The selected Respondent will have the capability to accept self-referrals directly from eligible TANF households, and will also receive referrals from the local district. This program will increase access to financial resources by assisting families in understanding and applying for various other financial assistance programs and financial resources available to them which includes applying for temporary assistance with the Department of Human Services as well as applying for other resources in the community.
