Consultant shall provide consulting services to FIT campus per the following: The School of Art & Design at the Fashion Institute of Technology seeks a seasoned consultant to produce The BFA (Bachelor Fine Arts) annual fashion graduating class fashion show planned May 8, 2025. This show, presented two times during a single day, is a highprofile runway show that features the best designs of our fashion design students. Each year the show attracts an audience of more than seven hundred, which includes press as well as industry experts and well-known fashion designers. The show traditionally receives significant industry press coverage. The producer will report to the event manager and when appropriate the Dean of the School of Art & Design and Acting Associate Dean. The scope of services includes but is not limited to the following: Production of two shows. Bring creative concepts and industry best practices to the overall fashion show event Collaborate with A&D Dean and Acting Associate Dean/FIT administration for show “vision” Recommend choices for the following: DJ/sound, stage production. Request and review budgets for selected vendors. Create activities timetable in collaboration with A&D Dean and Acting Associate Dean. Recommend and direct the stylist. Collaborate with all vendors (hair, make-up, staging, lighting, sound, music, dressers) Contract for all models for 80-90 garments (approximately 30 women and 10 children) Model fee, flat fee for woman and flat fee for children Run of show: to be present on judging day to begin organizing and creating run of show. Final run of show will require approval of the Dean. Create venue design with final approval by Dean.
