Specifications include, but are not limited to: Contractors will deliver a range of services to parents involved in the child welfare system who have known or a suspected I/DD diagnosis. Services must include, but are not limited to: • Initial intake/assessment to determine the parent/caretaker’s Individualized Parent Training Plan (IPTP); • Parenting training groups (minimum 10-12 groups per cycle/year), which can include accessibility to classes in person and/or remotely; • One-on-one parent coaching services which would be provided both in person and remotely. Parent coaching is tailored to the IPTP, which focuses on the person-centered, individualized goals and needs of each parent participating with the program. For parents engaged in one-on-one coaching, supports would be provided a minimum of four (4) times per month (at least once per week). At least two of those visits must be in person and may occur at the parent’s home and/or in the community. • Service coordination/linkage to supports and services as needed. This may include assistance with OPWDD eligibility and services, referral to health homes, evaluations, mental health services, educational supports, housing, benefits and entitlements, financial subsidies, etc.; • Accessibility to parent training coaches who are multilingual as needed; • Providers must serve parents in all five (5) boroughs throughout the NYC area (Bronx, Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn, and Staten Island); and • Contractors must submit monthly progress reports and back-up documentation (as designated by the program administration), on the status of the parents training outcomes and skills gained, skills the parents are still working on, and summaries of any observations between the parents and child(ren), along with billing documentation as required by the ACS DDU.
