This funding opportunity is only available for projects that meet the following criteria: 1. Projects shall relate to the reduction, mitigation, and/or remediation of pollution or of the effects of pollution in the Long Island Sound and its tributary waters in or near the waters adjacent to the Village of Mamaroneck. 2. Projects may be located on or adjacent to tributaries to the Mamaroneck River and Mamaroneck Harbor. This includes, at minimum, the Mamaroneck River Basin, the Mamaroneck Harbor Basin, the Sheldrake River Basin (tributary to the Mamaroneck River Basin), and the Beaver Swamp Brook East and West Basins (tributary to the Mamaroneck Harbor Basin). 3. Projects are not required to be located within the Village boundaries, and may be located within the tributary watersheds, at the District’s discretion. 4. Project funds are available on a reimbursement basis only. Total project costs must be absorbed by the awardee up front. Reimbursements will be issued upon receiving a budget report and receipts.
