Unearthing these economic development opportunities will ultimately inform and result in the production of specific marketing materials for the City (not included in this RFP). The City of New Rochelle, New York is a mature New York City suburb of approximately 80,000 residents equidistant between Stamford, Connecticut and mid-town Manhattan located on the Long Island Sound along the I-95 corridor. Only thirty minutes via Metro North railroad to and from Grand Central Station, New Rochelle is the busiest station in New York along the Metro-North New Haven Line outside of NYC. The City recently laid the groundwork for the largest and most significant economic d e v e l o p m e n t i n i t i a t i v e i n t h e c i t y ’ s h i s t o r y b y approving a zoning change for the downtown that will facilitate a mixed-use redevelopment program including new office, retail and upwards of 5,500 residential units projected over a 10-year period
