Specifications include, but are not limited to: Nassau County Department of Public Works is requesting proposals from qualified consulting firms to perform a retail market and revitalization analysis for downtown Bethpage, New York. Primarily located along Broadway, downtown Bethpage consists of a mix of commercial uses that serve the needs of area residents. In recent years, the downtown business district has experienced relatively high vacancy rates and a general decline in local retail sales revenue. The preparation of a retail market and revitalization analysis will assist the community of Bethpage to (1) identify the strengths, gaps, and opportunities for retail re-tenancy and retention in the downtown, (2) market downtown commercial assets, and (3)revitalize the downtown Long Island Rail Road station area by recommending strategic improvements to parking facilities, public amenities, and pedestrian infrastructure
