This Request for Proposal (RFP) is issued by the State University of New York (hereinafter referred to as “SUNY”) to solicit proposals for comprehensive Information Technology (IT) Professional Services (as defined herein) from experienced and qualified vendors (hereafter referred to as “Bidders” or individually as a “Bidder”) to develop and implement a SUNY Digital Backpack solution tailored to the needs of our diverse higher education community. As described further in this RFP, the SUNY Digital Backpack solution will provide SUNY students, faculty, and staff with a unified platform for accessing software, managing digital resources, and fostering collaboration across campuses. Current systems at SUNY are fragmented, requiring users to navigate multiple platforms to access software, assignments, grades, and other essential tools. This fragmentation leads to inefficiencies, decreased user satisfaction, and inequitable access to resources.
