Design and install a solar photovoltaic system on the rooftop of the North Salem Highway Garage and/or Salt Shed. • The solar system will serve behind-the-meter to offset on-site load with any excess energy serving to offset other Town electric meters via remote crediting. • The Town seeks to maximize its long-term savings from the generation of electricity from the resulting solar photovoltaic system. • The Town has secured a New York State Clean Energy Communities grant of $275,000. It wishes to expend a sum not to exceed that grant amount plus the anticipated Federal Investment Tax Credit direct pay value of 30%, or a total of $392,000.1 • The Town desires to use any and all available grants, incentives, and credits to its advantage to fund the project, including but not limited to the NY-SUN incentive and Federal Investment Tax Credit. • The Town is not seeking Proposals for leasing the system or the rooftop space and will instead be an off-taker of all energy from the solar system that it seeks to procure.
