This Term Agreement will provide design services to evaluate existing conditions of State-owned Overhead Sign Structures in various locations in all five (5) counties of New York City (Bronx, Kings, New York, Queens, and Richmond Counties). In general, the Consultant shall determine a recommendation based on proposed modifications to sign panels on existing OSS to either retain, replace or repair to ensure the safety of the travelling public. The Consultant shall provide all professional engineering services for the evaluation and analysis of approximately 150 OSS, with varying complexities. The scope of work shall consist of site visits to overhead sign structure locations, assessment of the existing conditions, bridge inspection and level 1 load rating for locations where OSS is attached to a bridge, and preparation of a report documenting the findings, capacity calculations and recommendation to replace, repair, or retain.
