This project provides for, but is not limited to, the analyzing of traffic noise impacts and recommending abatement measures for NYSDOT projects. Additionally, the firm may deal with noise measurement assignments on short notice as well as provide specific FHWA Traffic Noise Model (TNM) Version 2.5 or current version runs for NYSDOT Regional Office noise studies. NYSDOT may require noise analysis services following a determination that a project is a Type I project as defined in Section 772.5 of 23 CFR 772. These services may include conducting field measurements of existing noise levels, predicting highway traffic noise levels, determining traffic noise impacts, examining and evaluating noise abatement measures for reducing or eliminating the noise impact, analyzing construction noise caused by the project, preparing information material to be submitted to local officials, and documenting findings in a noise study report. NYSDOT makes no guarantee that a minimum number of assignments will be made to the selected offeror or that all allocated funds will be spent. The need for these assignments is based on current projections of NYSDOT’s current workload.
