During the term of this contract, consultant(s) are required to respond as projects are identified for federal or any other nonfederal funds. Projects will be "brought online" as FAA / other funding becomes available. Once an assignment work scope and cost agreement are reached and approved by NYSDOT and the Prime consultant, work shall start within two weeks. For each project or assignment, consultants must provide the necessary resources, including additional personnel or sub consultants, to complete work within the agreed upon short term. Construction Phase may include but is not limited to: • Providing consultation and advice to the Sponsor during all phases of construction. • Representing the Sponsor at preconstruction conferences. • Periodically providing inspection progress work reports to the Sponsor/NYSDOT. • Reviewing and approving shop and erection drawings submitted by contractors for compliance with design concept/drawings. • Reviewing, analyzing, and accepting laboratory and mill test reports of materials and equipment. • Conduct required concrete testing with provided American Concrete Institute (ACI) certified staff or through a qualified testing firm • Conduct field modifications in place of Designer of Record (DOR), if requested • Assist in the review of the baseline, monthly updates and final submissions of the Critical Path Method (CPM) progress schedule. • Assisting in the negotiation of change orders and supplemental agreements. • Observing or reviewing performance tests required by specifications. • Determining amounts owed to contractors and assisting Sponsors in the preparation of payment requests for amounts reimbursable from grant projects. • Making final inspections and submitting punch-lists and a report of the completed project to the Sponsor/NYSDOT. • Reviewing operations and maintenance manuals. • Coordinating construction activities with Airport operations and FAA Air Traffic Control Tower personnel. • Collecting and analyzing survey data.
