Monroe County is seeking a highly qualified vender to provide Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to children ages 3-17 years of age involved in the child welfare system. The average length of service is expected to be approximately 6 months. CBT is an evidence-based program focused on challenging and changing unhelpful behaviors, improving emotional regulation and increase coping strategies. The program is intended to treat PTSD symptoms, assist those with dysfunctional feelings or thoughts, or behavioral problems. CBT includes a number of cognitive or behavior psychotherapies that treat defined psychopathologies using evidence-based techniques and strategies. CBT is a "problem-focused" and "action-oriented" form of therapy.
